The four story Swiss chalet looks picture perfect with the snow laden trees in front of the blue bird sky.

All rooms have a private bath, antique beds and matching dressers, closets, bath robes, bath room amenities, floral carpet and orginal artwork.
Soft greens, tapistries and a tin ceiling accentuate the queen size Victorian bed and dresser with gold trim. Watch the skiiers on the ski back trail from the window.
Warm golds and burgundies surround the canopied queen size bed. The bed and dresser are carved with trees, fitting for being in the woods! Watch the skiiers on the runs or the lights in the Village below through the bay window.
A LARGE log bed greets the weary skiier. HIgh enough that it has steps to get up to it. From your high perch in bed watch the skiiers through the two bay windows. The recliner chair is comfy for reading a book. Bright yellow walls, stenciled trees and a Vicorian blue ceiling (repsresenting the blue sky) give the room a very Swiss feel.
Always a favorite with toile wall paper and fabric, even a one horse sleigh picture in the wall paper. Burgundy canopied queen bed, dressers, two arm chairs and larger bath with two sinks. Bay window with view of the ski runs and Village.
The entire top floor, 1200 sq ft, with two bed rooms, large bath with separate toilet room and great room with TV area, couches, chairs, pool table, game tables and small kitchen. The queen size sleigh bed and second queen size brass bed are beneath the antique quilts hanging on the walls. Cathedral ceilings, two balconies, book cases full of great books make this a special getaway for up to four people.
View the beautiful antiques and decorating in the guest rooms and throughout the home.
The stay at your wonderful B and B was just perfect. We all enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and great company of our hosts and the other guests. This was our family's first trip to Schweitzer and we will definitely come back in the winter and the summer. The skiing was awesome and even though it was cold it was great that we could ski in and out with such ease. The daily home made breakfasts and facilities were perfect in every way! We are so glad you guided us to the top floor suite. It was perfect for us and the boys to enjoy the entire time we were there. The pool table and hot tub were perfect after a long day of time on the mountain. We hope we will get to come back soon and enjoy your gracious company and comfortable B and B.
Honestly this was our first experience at a Bed'n'Breakfast ever, and let me tell you the bar has been set! We were blown away by how quickly the idea of "just having a room to sleep in" turned into nothing less than a 5 star quality stay. From the moment we arrived on a freshly snow plowed driveway to the moment we left (already planning our return trip) Mel and Marsha treated us with such warmth and hospitality, always going above and beyond what we had expected while at the same time respecting our desire for a private , cozy, weekend getaway. The lodge was absolutely breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed conversation about it and its owner's history. Not too mention, how can you possibly go skiing anywhere else after strapping on freshly toasted boots off the warmer, skiing down to the chair lift straight from the lodge's front door, and skiing all the way back after a long day via a private trail without ever having to click out of your boots or step foot on pavement?! Whether you're with a group of family and friends, or need to sneak away from the world with your significant other, this is by far the best place to be!
I had the pleasure of skiing at Schweitzer Mountain, Idaho this past week for the second year in a row. This year, like last, did not disappoint. There was plenty of base and it snowed on and off all week.
This year we stayed at the Schweitzer Mountain Bed and Breakfast. My daughter Fiona and I arrived Sunday morning and officially checked in after skiing that day. The B&B has five bedrooms and is tastefully furnished with lovely but very practical antiques. The Innkeepers, Mel and Marsha, did an excellent job of ensuring their guests are comfortable and well cared for. Breakfasts are superb. Each morning Mel and Marsha surprise with a multi course meal topped off with a very tasty "dessert". My mother always told me breakfasts do not include dessert. I think all those who stay at the B&B will be glad to know that Marsha routinely breaks the "rule".
You will be happy to know that the facility is ski in ski out. However, there is also a free shuttle available on weekends. In addition, Mel made it abundantly clear that he is more than willing to shuttle guests down to the Village. I used the ski in ski out option each day and found it an excellent way to start and end my ski day.
One final note, Schweitzer Mountain B&B sits on the hillside overlooking the slopes and the adjoining valley. The views are spectacular. In short, I enthusiastically recommend the Schweitzer Mountain Bed and Breakfast to those visiting this ski area.
We have stayed at Schweitzer Mountain B&B quite a few times over several years and highly recommend it! Mel and Marsha are excellent hosts who have literally been on the mountain and in the area for decades. Their hospitality is amazing and they are excellent at interacting with guests of all ages and walks of life sharing their knowledge and stories. During one of our recent trips they not only allowed us to invited friends over the to B&B to watch the lights parade and fireworks on the mountain, but Marsha baked the most delicious homemade pretzels and made sure there were plenty for both us and our guests! Overall, Mel and Marsha are hands-on hosts, but not by any means intrusive. They truly care about their guests' experience and thoroughly enjoy hosting folks, both young and old, skiers and non-skiers, etc.
